Hair Transplant Graft Calculator Formula

The graft calculation formula uses a density-area model:

Grafts = Balding Area (cm²) × Target Density (grafts/cm²) × Coverage Multiplier × Contrast Multiplier

Natural scalp density is approximately 60–100 follicular units per cm². Transplant density of 25–55 grafts/cm² achieves a natural appearance because transplanted hair is strategically placed to maximise visual coverage.
